Saving a house…2003

One of the most rewarding projects I did was restoring a tired, forgotten, out-of-date house. A kitchen of clutter & rooms that had no life for years. Taking a space that was less than lovely & transforming it into a comfortable, fresh, inviting place for our family. I love to “see” the potential in something broken & start tweaking, creating, designing and decorating. Then when it’s ready to move in & get settled to continue that nesting & living. I often think how that it is with us. Perhaps we are in a place we aren’t so beautiful on the outside, a little run down, a tad forgotten... then when we do our part to open our hearts & allow the Creator to move in we are transformed into something beautiful - fresh- ready for a new purpose & direction. Perhaps that’s why I am always willing to help a friend “re-do” a project. I know from my own experience what a difference change makes. Making things new...outside & inside. Each day is the same. An opportunity to move things around to create purpose & beauty. “Great is Thy faithfulness morning by morning new mercies I see.” Lamentations 3:23....a new creation fit for His dwelling to set up shop & shine for Him “Create a clean heart in me, O Lord, and renew a right spirit in me” Psalm 51:10
