Thanks, Mama

Thanks, Mama

I have often said one of the greatest gifts my mother gave me was that of piano lessons. From accompanying a choir, playing at church on Sundays, playing at weddings through college for extra money, and especially playing for my own quiet time enjoyment - much of my life has been spent at a piano. This picture was taken Friday when I played at the wedding of a friend. It had been years since I had played at a wedding. The mix of timeless songs that are so beautiful -some of which I have played for four decades made this evening special. Teaching piano again is a gift- and I pray that I share this love of music with my students...who knows maybe 48 years later they will still be playing. “I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have my being” Psalm 104:33
